The terms of working with us
These terms apply when you use this website or book a cleaning with us. They are written to be read: plain language, no traps, and an honest account of what we do and what we ask of you.
01Who these terms cover
This website and our cleaning service are operated by Elysium Home Solutions LLC, which we call "Elysium", "we", or "us" on this page. "You" means the person who uses this site, requests a cleaning, or pays for one. By requesting a quote, booking a visit, creating an account, or using our service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not book.
These Terms are supplemented by our Service Policies, which describe how a cleaning is actually carried out and form part of your agreement with us. If you book recurring service, our Recurring Service Terms also apply. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
02Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to book a cleaning or enter into these terms. By booking, you confirm that you are, that you are authorised to request service at the address you give us, and that the information you provide is accurate.
03Website and account use
You may use this website to learn about our service, estimate a price, request a cleaning, manage a booking, and pay. Please use it for those purposes only. Do not attempt to interfere with the site, probe or bypass its security, submit automated or fraudulent requests, scrape it at scale, or use it to send anything unlawful.
Accounts. You can create an Elysium account, and you can also create one before you have ever booked with us. Where we already hold a booking history for your email address, an account may be connected to that history through a verification link we send to that address. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials to yourself and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access to it.
Sign-in methods. We support a password, a one-time link or code sent to your email address, a Google sign-in, and passkeys. Signing in with an external provider proves control of an account you have already connected to us; it does not by itself create an Elysium account. You may add and remove sign-in methods, but we will not let you remove your last remaining way in.
Booking links. Some links we email you - a booking confirmation link, a self-service link for one visit, a payment link, or a link to cancel recurring service - work by holding a secret token in the address. Treat them like a key: anyone with the link can act on that booking. Do not post them publicly or forward them to people you would not give access to.
04Service area
We serve a defined coverage area, and the current area is the one published on this website and applied by our booking system when you enter your address. Coverage changes as we grow, so the site is always the accurate answer rather than any figure quoted elsewhere. If your address falls outside the area, or if we cannot resolve it precisely enough to decide, we will tell you rather than confirm a visit we cannot staff. Some addresses inside the area carry a zone adjustment, which is shown to you in the price before you commit.
05How a request becomes a booking
Submitting the form on this site is a request, not a booking. When you submit it you choose your home size, the type of cleaning, the number of bathrooms, any add-ons, how often you would like service, and a date and time.
We then email you a confirmation link. Your booking is created when you open that link and confirm it - not when you submit the form, and never simply by loading a page. The link also lets you say the request was not yours, which cancels it.
While your request is waiting to be confirmed we may hold the requested time slot for a short period so it is still there when you confirm. That hold is shorter than the confirmation link itself: if the hold lapses, the link keeps working and we re-check availability at the moment you confirm. If the slot has gone by then, we say so and offer you another time. Some requests are held for review before we confirm them; where that happens, we contact you.
We may also need to follow up to confirm details or adjust a time. Nothing in this section obliges us to accept a request we cannot serve safely, lawfully, or within our coverage area.
06Website, pricing, availability, and errors
We work to keep the content, prices, and availability shown on this site accurate and current. Even so, technical faults, human mistakes, and display errors happen, and a page you are looking at can go out of date while you are reading it.
Two consequences are worth stating plainly:
- An available time can stop being available. Slots are shown from live scheduling data, but the authoritative check happens when your booking is confirmed. A time that was open when you loaded the page may be taken by then.
- The price is calculated by our system, not by your browser. The estimate you see on the page is produced from the details you enter, and the amount that applies to your booking is the one our server calculates from those same details when the booking is created.
Where content, a price, or an availability display is obviously wrong - a typo, a mispriced option, a scheduling fault, or a system error - we may correct it, and we may decline or cancel a booking that was created on the strength of that obvious error. We will not use this to walk away from an ordinary price you were quoted and accepted in good faith. Where a correction materially affects your booking, we will contact you, explain what changed, and give you the choice to go ahead, reschedule, or cancel at no charge. If you have already paid and choose not to go ahead, we refund what you paid for that visit.
07Pricing and what's included
Our prices depend on the size of your home, the type of clean, the number of bathrooms, any add-ons you select, and - where it applies - a zone adjustment for your address. The checklist page gives a detailed room-by-room guide to the normal scope of each cleaning type, and our Service Policies describe how the work is carried out.
The quote you see is our best estimate from the information you give us. If a home turns out to be substantially different from what was described - much larger, far dirtier, or needing heavy clutter cleared before we can clean - we may need extra time at our standard hourly rate of $65 per hour. We will always tell you before doing anything that adds to the price, and you can decide to go ahead or reschedule.
08Payment
Payment is due on completion of service unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. The payment methods currently available are shown on our payment page and may also be included in your booking confirmation or invoice; they include paying online by card and paying through the direct methods we publish. You are responsible for using one of the methods available at the time payment is due.
Card payments are handled by our payment provider. We do not receive or store your full card number. A payment is treated as received only once the provider confirms it to us; a page that says a payment was submitted is not, by itself, confirmation.
Where a booking is prepaid, the amount charged is the amount our system calculated for that booking. We may pause or decline future service until an outstanding balance is settled.
09Scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellation
Plans change, and we understand that. If you need to move or cancel a visit, please tell us as early as you can, and at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time. That gives us a chance to offer the slot to someone else and to plan the day for the professional assigned to you.
Arrival times are scheduled in good faith. Traffic, weather, and a job that runs long can move a start time; where that happens we contact you. If we have to cancel a visit ourselves, we will offer you the earliest reasonable alternative and you owe nothing for the cancelled visit.
10Recurring service
If you choose a recurring frequency, your first cleaning is booked in the usual way and an ongoing agreement is created alongside it. Recurring service continues until it is cancelled, and the details - how visits are generated, how the recurring price works, and how to pause, change, or cancel - are set out in our Recurring Service Terms.
11Access to your home
For us to clean, we need a way in. Please make sure we can access your home at the booked time, whether that is by being there yourself, leaving a key, or sharing a gate, door, or lockbox code. If you give us entry instructions, you confirm that you are authorised to share them.
Access information you give us is stored encrypted, is available only to people whose role requires it, and viewing it is recorded. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle it.
If we cannot get in at the booked time and cannot reach you, we may have to treat the visit as a missed appointment; a fee may apply to cover the assigned professional's time and travel.
Utilities. Running water and electricity must be available during the appointment. If they are not, we may need to reschedule.
Pets. Pets may stay in the home if they can safely stay away from active work areas. Aggressive, anxious, escape-prone, or disruptive animals must be secured in a room that will not be cleaned.
Valuables. Please secure cash, jewellery, collectibles, firearms, important documents, and other irreplaceable items before our visit. We treat your home with care, but high-value items are best stored safely out of the way.
12Special requirements
Please tell us before the appointment if any of the following apply to your home or your preferences:
- Allergies or sensitivities to cleaning products or fragrances.
- Fragrance-free or eco-friendly product requests.
- Delicate materials, natural stone, or specialty surfaces that need specific care.
- Manufacturer care instructions for particular fixtures or finishes.
- Any other requirement that would affect how we work in your home.
We can only accommodate special requirements we know about in advance. We are not responsible for outcomes on surfaces or materials where specific care instructions were not communicated before the visit.
13Photos and quality records
The professional assigned to your visit may complete a job report and may take limited photos or short video of relevant work areas for quality assurance, service verification, training, safety, insurance, or claim documentation. These records are internal. How they are stored, who can reach them, how long we keep them, and what choices you have are described in our Privacy Policy.
If you would prefer that no photos are taken in a particular room, or at all, tell us and we will note it on your booking.
14Our satisfaction guarantee
If an area included in your booked cleaning was not cleaned to the agreed standard, tell us within 24 hours after the service is completed and give us reasonable detail or photos of the affected area. We will review it and, where it relates to the scope you originally booked, return to re-clean that area at no additional charge.
The guarantee provides corrective re-cleaning rather than an automatic refund. It does not apply to permanent stains or discoloration, pre-existing damage or conditions, normal wear and tear, areas or tasks excluded from the booked service, inaccessible areas, or results affected after the cleaning by occupants, pets, movers, contractors, or other third parties.
You need to give us reasonable access for the corrective visit. If a reasonable opportunity to re-clean the affected area is declined or prevented, the guarantee is considered fulfilled and no refund is due on that basis alone.
15What's outside our scope
To keep your home and the people working in it safe, some work falls outside a standard cleaning. We do not take on, among other things:
- Biohazards and heavy contamination, such as mold remediation, human or animal waste, or cleanup after a flood, fire, or sewage issue.
- Heavy lifting, such as moving large furniture or appliances, or carrying heavy items.
- Work at height beyond what is safely reachable from a standard two-step ladder.
- Anything with a real risk of damage, or that calls for a licensed specialist (pest control, electrical, plumbing, and the like).
- Unsafe environments, including exposed wiring, broken glass, suspected hazardous materials, the presence of weapons, or signs of illegal activity.
The checklist page has the fuller list of what is included and what is not. If you are unsure whether something is covered, ask before you book.
16Right to refuse or end a visit
We may decline, pause, or end a visit at any time if conditions are unsafe, threatening, or outside the scope of a standard cleaning. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Unsafe physical conditions - exposed wiring, broken glass, suspected hazardous or toxic substances.
- Unrestrained or aggressive animals that pose a risk.
- Abusive, harassing, or threatening behaviour directed at anyone working for us.
- Suspected illegal activity on the premises.
- Biohazards or materials requiring specialist handling.
If we end a visit early for one of these reasons, a fee may apply to cover the assigned professional's time and travel, up to the full service amount in serious cases. We will always explain the reason and work with you on next steps where that is possible.
17Damage and claims
We treat your home with care and we carry insurance. Accidents are rare, but if you believe something was damaged during a visit, tell us within 24 hours of the cleaning so we can look into it while it is fresh. Please keep the item in its current state where that is reasonably possible - we may need to inspect it before a repair or replacement is arranged. Claims raised after the 24-hour window are much harder to verify and may not be accepted.
We are not responsible for pre-existing wear, items that were already damaged or improperly installed, or the normal result of cleaning a surface that was in poor condition. Where you asked us not to clean an area, we are not responsible for the state of that area.
18Communications
We send service messages about your booking - confirmations, reminders, changes, receipts, and follow-ups - to the contact details you give us. These are transactional messages that come with the service; if you want to stop receiving them entirely, that generally means ending the service they relate to.
Text messages are separate and require your consent. Message frequency varies, and standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply. You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP, and your booking is unaffected; reply HELP for help. Email preferences and notification settings can be managed from your account, and every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link.
19Force majeure
We are not liable for delays, cancellations, or failure to perform where the cause is beyond our reasonable control. That includes natural disasters (wildfire, earthquake, flood), severe weather, power or network outages, road closures, vehicle breakdown, public health emergencies, and government-mandated restrictions. If a visit is affected, we will contact you as soon as we reasonably can and reschedule at the earliest opportunity at no charge to you.
20Intellectual property
The Elysium name and logo, this website, its text, layout, photography, illustrations, and software are owned by Elysium Home Solutions LLC or used with permission, and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may view, print, and save pages for your own reference and for managing your bookings. Please do not copy, republish, or use our content commercially, or use our name or logo in a way that suggests an association we have not agreed to.
21Third-party links and services
This site links to services we do not operate - our payment provider, mapping and address services, and our social profiles among them. We provide those links for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their availability, or their handling of your information; their own terms and privacy notices apply when you are on them.
22Limitation of liability
We will always do our honest best for you. To the extent the law allows, our responsibility for any single cleaning is limited to the amount you paid for that cleaning, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing removes any rights you have that cannot be waived under California law.
23Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Elysium Home Solutions LLC, its owners and its personnel, from claims, damages, or costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: your breach of these terms; inaccurate or false information you gave us when booking; access instructions you provided for a property you were not authorised to grant entry to; or your own negligence or intentional misconduct. This does not limit any rights you have under California consumer protection law.
24Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute relating to our service or these terms will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California, and you agree to that venue.
25General
Severability. If any provision of these terms is found invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary or severed, and the remaining provisions stay in full force.
Entire agreement. These terms, together with the Service Policies, the Recurring Service Terms where they apply, and any written booking confirmation we send you, form the entire agreement between us about the services described, and supersede earlier discussions or understandings.
Waiver. If we do not enforce a provision on one occasion, that does not waive our right to enforce it later. A waiver is effective only in writing.
26Upholstery steam cleaning
When upholstery steam cleaning is booked, you authorise the use of controlled steam and suitable cleaning tools on upholstered furniture that appears compatible with the service. Results vary with the material, construction, manufacturer instructions, age, condition, staining, odors, prior treatments, and pre-existing damage.
We may inspect, spot-test, limit, or decline treatment of any item that could be damaged by heat, moisture, agitation, or cleaning. A successful spot test does not guarantee identical results across the whole item.
Unless the confirmed booking says otherwise, upholstery steam cleaning does not include shampooing, hot-water extraction, soaking, restoration, repairs, permanent stain removal, pet-urine remediation, mold or biohazard treatment, or guaranteed odor, allergen, sanitization, sterilization, or disinfection results.
27Accessibility
We maintain this website with accessibility in mind and we want it to work for everyone. Our Accessibility statement explains the standard we work to and how to reach us if something on the site gets in your way - and how we will help you book by another route in the meantime.
28Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, this page gets a new edition and the version and date at the top change with it; earlier editions stay available at their own permanent addresses. The terms that apply to your booking are the ones in effect when you book. Where a change is significant, we will make that clear.
